PT-171 and PT-163 ("WHO ME?") tied up at a dock in the Phillipines - 1945
Notice the twin rocket launchers on the fore-deck of PT-163. Also notice the odd antenna on top of the 163's radar mast. I beleive this the fire-control radar called a 'Flying Mattress' (think of and old spring-coil mattress). The Flying-Mattress controlled one of the rocket tubes and would prime, fuse, and launch the rockets against incoming aircraft and artillery. The control system would set the fuses to explode based on more accurate range measurements to the aircraft - it was apparently wickedly accurate for the time.
